About Me

An accomplished healthcare executive, Deanna Kyrimis currently resides in the Pacific Northwest. With over two decades of high-level experience in healthcare system strategy and operations, Kyrimis is recognized for its contributions to the industry, particularly in serving underserved, vulnerable, and special needs populations. They have championed innovative models of care that prioritize patients, offer reliable quality, and align payers, providers, systems, and patients. Kyrimis’s passion for innovative care models began when joining the first accountable care organization in Arizona in 2012. Since then, they have developed multi-state strategies driving high-quality care, reduced costs, and world-class support services across integrated networks of hospitals, physicians, and ancillary providers.

Based in Washington, Kyrimis graduated from several prestigious educational institutions, including the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where they completed a doctorate of science degree, and the University of Oxford in Oxfordshire, England, where they earned a master’s degree in organizational leadership.

They are closely involved with numerous charities, nonprofit organizations, and other good causes. Outside of work and charitable endeavors, Kyrimis enjoys traveling with their family and various hobbies. Among their favorite and longest-standing hobbies is Taekwondo. They also enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time in nature.

In their current role as Vice President with CommonSpirit: Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle, Washington, Kyrimis is responsible for executive oversight of the renowned Virginia Mason Medical Center’s hospital operations. This includes perioperative and procedural services, outpatient and ambulatory surgery centers, specialty physician enterprises, and more. Virginia Mason Franciscan Health provides high-quality, state-of-the-art health and medical care across the Pacific Northwest. At the same time, CommonSpirit Health is the most extensive Catholic health system in the United States, operating over 1,000 care sites in 21 states, including CommonSpirit: Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Washington.
